Amalfi is 30 minutes from Positano but before arriving in Amalfi, we'll stop for about 20 minutes to take in the astounding colors of the Emerald Cave at Conca dei Marini. Then you can savor a seafood meal at one of the most characteristic restaurants in Ravello. The return trip to Positano takes 50 minutes.
From Positano it takes 50 minutes to arrive in Pompeii and about 2 hours to visit the excavations there. Continuing on for another 40 minutes you'll arrive in Ravello where you can admire the Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone and their fantastic gardens and enchanting panoramas overlooking the Amalfi Coast. If you wish you can eat in one of the characteristic restaurants there and taste the specialties of the Amalfi Coast. The return trip to Positano takes about 50 minutes.
From Positano it takes 50 minutes to arrive in Pompeii and about 2 hours to visit the excavations there. Continuing on, Mount Vesuvius can be reached in 30 minutes and the climb up to the mouth of the volcano, visit to the site and return trip takes about 1 hour. Ercolano can be reached in 30 minutes and a visit to the excavations there takes about 1 hour. The return trip from Ercolano to Positano takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
From Positano it takes 50 minutes to arrive in Pompeii and about 2 hours to visit the excavations there. Continuing on for another 30 minutes, you'll reach Naples where you can visit the international museum, subterranean Naples, the Umberto gallery, Piazza Plebiscito, Spacca Napoli etc… If you wish, your driver can offer recommendations on where to go for a good pizza or traditional plate of seafood spaghetti. The return trip from Positano to Naples takes about 80 minutes.
From Positano it takes 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive in Paestum and about 90 minutes to visit the excavations of the Greek temples there. Returning towards the Amalfi Coast, a 30-minute drive will take you to Vietri sul Mare, the famous coastal town and birthplace of ceramics and its artists. After another half an hour you'll arrive in Ravello, where you can visit the enchanting Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone and admire their unique construction and fantastic panoramas overlooking the Amalfi Coast. If you wish you can savor the flavors of the coast in one of the characteristic restaurants of Ravello and then return toward Positano, stopping to visit Amalfi which is only 10 minutes away. This visit takes about 30 minutes as does the return trip to Positano.
From Positano it takes 165 minutes to reach Nettuno; here you can visit the beautiful American Cemetery where bodies that were previously buried throughout Italy are now laid to rest. It takes about 1 hour to visit the cemetery and 1 more hour to reach Rome where you can visit the Coliseum, Piazza Venezia and the most important Roman archeological sites and admire the most beautiful stores in the city near the famous Piazza di Spagna. The return trip to Positano takes 3 hours and 30 minutes.
